MCCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. -- A woman was found dead inside a car late Tuesday afternoon.
OSBI is now investigating, calling the death "suspicious."
Investigators said, while they found no visible wounds or trauma that could have caused the woman's death, they are waiting for the medical examiner to release the cause of death.
"It was about 3:30 this afternoon that the sheriff's office received a call from two occupants who live inside the home here saying there was a deceased female at the home," said Jessica Brown with OSBI.
The call came from a home in the 2900 block of Coyle Drive in Blanchard.
The woman, later identified as Teresa Yvon Williams, was reportedly found inside a car.
"We do not have a cause in manor," Brown said." There are not outward signs of a homicide, for example, so we're calling it a suspicious death. However, we are going to work it as thoroughly as we would a homicide."
Investigators and the medical examiner are working to piece together exactly what happened.
"The last time she was heard of or seen was about 7 o'clock this morning," Brown said.
The people who found her were allegedly letting her stay at their place.
"They are friends, acquaintances, the victim, deceased, did not live here permanently, she was staying here for the last few days," Brown says.
OSBI and McClain County sheriff's department are working the joint investigation, however they are being tight-lipped about specific details.
"I really don't think we can rule out anything at this point and time, we're calling it a suspicious death," Brown said.
The body has been taken to the medical examiner's office to determine the cause and manner of death.
