Medical community now supporting reform of bill in special session

OKLAHOMA CITY – Day three of a special session gets underway Thursday at the State Capitol.

Some local members of the medical community are now throwing their support behind reforming the lawsuit bill in question.

Thursday afternoon, representatives from the Oklahoma State Medical Association and other physician leaders are hosting a news conference to discuss the special session and the importance of lawsuit reform for Oklahoma’s medical community.

The conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the State Capitol.

The special session is expected to conclude Sept. 10.
