(CNN) — The family of Michael Brown, who was killed last year by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, will file a civil wrongful death lawsuit in the case “very shortly,” said attorney Anthony Gray.

The move comes after a Department of Justice investigation failed to find enough evidence to file federal charges against Wilson in the teen’s death.

Attorney General Eric Holder has demanded reforms to root out racial bias, not only in Ferguson, but across the country.
