Katy Perry was the Super Bowl XLIX halftime performer, but Missy Elliott — who joined her on stage for 3 songs — may have stolen the show.

Elliott, who has been on hiatus since the mid-2000s, performed several of her hits.

Almost immediately after the hip-hop legend took the stage, Twitter ignited with tweets about Missy Elliott’s performance and she began trending.

Many thought Elliott “made” Perry’s performance and the night.
