MOORE, Okla. – Moore is continuing to clean up after not one but two serious bouts with Mother Nature last month.

City officials said the recovery process reaches far more than some may realize.

From families who have lost loved ones to others who have lost their homes, even the local economy is recovering.

If you have driven down I-35 through Moore lately, there is one place along the interstate where traffic slows.

It is along the path where the tornado crossed Moore.

Some businesses have been forced to lay off workers until traffic in their doors picks up.

The hit may be too hard for some businesses that just can’t stay afloat in the aftermath.

In the meantime, small signs out front remind passersby they are still open.

Officials said there is already help for some of the businesses damaged May 20.

City leaders have joined forces with the “Back to Business” incentive to report any needs that are preventing the companies from opening.
