MOORE, Okla. – Students in Moore lost everything in the May tornado, including their winter coats.
Thanks to Moore firefighters, they won’t be left out in the cold this year.
They are teaming up with Air One Radio in “Operation Warm” to give Moore students new winter coats.
This includes more than 500 children from Plaza Towers and Briarwood Elementary.
Those schools took a direct hit in the May tornado.
More than a dozen volunteers will personally fit each child with a new coat.
Since “Operation Warm” began, it has donated more than 1 million coats in 42 states across the country.
