According to the Obama Administration, nearly one million signed up through the federal government's improved website this month.

That's compared to just 27,000 who signed up in October, when the website was plagued with glitches.

The deadline to sign up to have insurance by the 1st of the year was December 24th.

In the week leading up to the deadline, nearly twice as many people enrolled than in the first part of December.
