MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — Midwest City Police say a single motorcycle accident around 8:45 p.m. Saturday evening killed one man.

Police say it happened in the 6500 block of E. Reno, near what use to be Heritage Park Mall.

They say two people were on the bike at the time of the accident.

Jefferson Wayne Wells, 46, died on the scene from a massive head injury, according to officials. His 40-year-old female passenger was rushed to an area hospital where she is still recovering.

Police say evidence at the scene indicates that Wells lost control of the motorcycle while he was traveling westbound in the outside lane of E. Reno at the intersection of Meadow Lane.

“No witnesses have come forward at this time, however, if anyone has information regarding this accident, please contact our agency,” Chief Brandon Clabes said.

Callers can contact the Midwest CIty Police Department at 405-739-1306.
