Motorcycle officer injured after wreck in Edmond

EDMOND, Okla. – Emergency crews responded to an officer-involved wreck in Edmond Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say a motorcycle officer was rear-ended by a vehicle near Kelly and Val Genes Rd.

The driver who hit the officer remained at the scene.

The officer was injured but is expected to be OK with non-life threatening injuries.

15th and Kelley Ave. was shut down due to the accident.

Kelly is closed in both directions as we work a wreck with injury. This is between 15th & 2nd.
