Musician Phil Everly dies are 74

Singer Phil Everly — one half of the groundbreaking, smooth-sounding, record-setting duo, the Everly Brothers — has died, a hospital spokeswoman said.

He was 74.

Everly and his brother Don made up the harmony duo known as the Everly Brothers.

According to his son Jason, Everly died at a Burbank Hospital of chronic obstruction Pulmonary disease Friday.

Their hit records include “Wake Up Little Susie” and “Bye Bye Love.”
