It is a holiday weekend and it is also time for The Coke Zero 400 which kicks off the 2016 NASCAR coverage.

Dayton, it is where NASCAR began, it is the world center of racing and speed. This weekend NASCAR is back on KFOR.

There is a lot on the line as this is the start to the Sprint Cup Championship in November.

The defending champ is Dale Earnhardt Jr.

There could be some scattered shows before the race and a slight chance during it.

Oklahoma Country music superstar and coach of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning series The Voice, Blake Shelton returns to perform NBC Sports Group’s 2016 NASCAR on NBC opening theme song “Brining Back the Sunshine.”

“Happy to be back to kickoff NBC Sports’ second season of NASCAR coverage and be able to rework my song, ‘Bringing Back the Sunshine’ for the opening theme song,” said Shelton. “I am a true NASCAR fan and love being around the sport, spending time with the drivers, so this is a lot of fun for me.”
