Nashville star, Ray Price dies at 87; Country music fans say goodbye

Ray Price, the Nashville star whose trademark “shuffle” beat became a country music staple, died at age 87 this month.

Country music fans said goodbye this weekend to the man considered by many to be one of the best male vocals in country music. 

The funeral service for country music hall of fame member Ray Price was Saturday.

Hundreds of people gathered at a church in Richardson Texas to remember Price. 

Speakers at the service described Price as having a magical voice. 

The famous singer died December 16th after battling pancreatic cancer.
