OKLAHOMA – Looking at your gas light wondering when the best time to fill up is? Now is the time.

According to AAA, the average pump price across Oklahoma today is $3.464 per gallon, down a fraction of a cent from the price a week ago.

Prices have also fallen during this time in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Florida, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kentucky, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Texas.

Motorists in Oklahoma now enjoy the fifth-lowest state gas price average in the nation. Only Arkansas at $3.460, New Mexico at $3.458, Missouri at $3.437 and Montana at $3.373 have lower statewide averages.

“Ongoing geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine remain a primary reason for crude oil prices remaining elevated, which has contributed to higher gas prices,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “However, the nation has healthy supplies on hand and demand is down for now.”

Today’s national average price at the pump is $3.693 per gallon
