OKLAHOMA CITY-- Oklahoma City Police will begin their 133rd Police Academy Friday morning.

The 50 recruits - 5 females and 45 males - will train in the Police Academy through July 2015, and will receive over 1000 hours of intensive training on a wide variety of law enforcement duties.

Major blocks of training include physical fitness, traffic accident investigation, patrol techniques, legal issues, firearms, law enforcement driver training, community relations, and criminal investigations and Spanish.
