OKLAHOMA CITY – Construction is set to begin soon along the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

You may have noticed the electronic signs along the toll road, alerting drivers to lane closures.

Those will start on Monday, April 14th, from nine a.m. to 4 p.m.

Turnpike officials tell us three sections of this busy highway will get new cable barriers.

Those barriers prevent traffic from crossing over into the opposite lanes.

The cable barriers will be installed along the highway between Macarthur and Highway 3.

They will also be between Eastern Ave. and the I-35-I-44 exchange and the Britton Rd. toll plaza.
