STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – A New York man is accused of pretending to be a doctor for almost three years and providing “treatments” to more than 100 patients.
According to WPIX, the office of Donald Lee-Edwards looked like a shop of horror with needles, blood vials and medical equipment crammed into a basement.
Authorities say his office was actually located in the basement of his parent’s home.
Investigators say the 43-year-old treated patients, took blood and urine samples and even faked lab results.
Edwards also allegedly accepted co-pays from patients and prescribed medicine.
However, prosecutors say he never completed any medical school, but often lied to patients and discussed patient information with other clients.
