NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Ohio authorities are investigating after a newborn baby was found dead outside of a sorority house.

The body was found in a plastic bag Wednesday night in front of the Delta Gamma Theta sorority house at Muskingum University.

The infant was several hours old.

The coroner’s office suspects the baby died of suffocation, according to WCMH.

Authorities were able to identify the mother, and confirmed she is a student at the school.

So far, no charges have been filed.

Authorities are still investigating.
