FLORIDA – Cleveland Browns wide receiver Davone Bess’ downward spiral continued Jan. 17, as he was reportedly arrested at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida for assaulting an officer, according to CBS Miami.
The alleged incident occured at 6:19 a.m. ET. Per NBC Miami, bess was booked into Broward County Jail, although it is not yet known if he has been released.
Adam Beasley provided more details on the arrest on Twitter.
Bess was walking down the concourse "acting irrationally," singing, dancing with his pants falling down.

When the officer went up to Bess to have him stop, he crushed a cup of coffee on him, and got into a fighting stance.

Officer struck him in the leg with his ASP (his baton?), but it had no effect. Bess then took off his shirt, and got in fighting stance.

Bess finally complied with the order and was taken into custody. The officer believes he was on drugs at the time of the incident.

Bess was arrested after reportedly ignoring orders to get on the ground.
He is facing charges of assault, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct.
