LINCOLN COUNTY, Okla. – Fire crews battled a large grass fire in Lincoln County Sunday afternoon.
Initial reports indicate the fire started near Wellston, Oklahoma.

Officials say nine departments were called to the fire and emergency management is on the scene.
A few hours later, officials confirmed five more departments were called to the scene.
Fire crews fought the flames for hours before extinguishing the blaze.
Officials say the fire consumed about 2,000 acres.
Fortunately, officials also say no structures were damaged in the fire.
