Suspects in custody after leading allegedly Norman police on high-speed chase

NORMAN, Okla. – Two men are in custody after allegedly leading police in Norman on a chase.

Around 1 p.m. on Friday, officers learned that two people were attempting to cash a forged check in the drive-thru lane of Banc First.

When police arrived, the alleged suspects took off.

Authorities also noticed that the vehicle they were driving appeared to be listed as stolen.

The chase continued along I-35 into Purcell where the alleged suspects exited onto Hwy 74  and drove into a pasture near Maysville.

At that point, the alleged suspects attempted to run from police but were quickly arrested.

Investigators say the truck and other stolen items were recovered.

The alleged suspects were arrested on complaints of uttering a forged instrument, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and eluding a police officer.
