A North Korean spokesman says the release of an American comedy will be perceived as an “act of war.”

According to the BBC, the movie in question is called “The Interview” and features Seth Rogan and James Franco.

The film centers around a talk show host and his producer, who are invited to North Korea to interview Kim Jong Un.

Before they leave, the pair is recruited by the CIA to assassinate the leader.

“Making and releasing a movie on a plot to hurt our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will absolutely not be tolerated,” said the spokesman.
