Officials give “all-clear” after suspicious bags found near Edmond

UPDATE: The scene has been cleared. Police say the owner picked up the bags. 

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. – The Oklahoma City Bomb Squad responded to a report of suspicious bags found near Edmond.

Officials were called to the scene on Danforth between May and Penn Sunday afternoon.

Oklahoma City police tell News 4 two abandoned duffel bags were found in a residential area.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.

Authorities are still investigating and have not released any other details.
