Crime just doesn’t pay and officials have the facts to prove it.
After a rash of bank robberies in western Oklahoma this year, U.S. attorneys said the risk just doesn’t outweigh the reward.
There’s not much money in it; thieves usually only get away with about $3,000.
Officials said you will be caught.
This year alone, out of more than 20 robberies since Jan., only one bank robbery remains unsolved.
Once you’re caught, you will go to prison.
Officials said, on average, convicted bank robbers will spend about seven years in prison and it’s a federal crime so there is no chance of getting out early.
