OKLAHOMA CITY – Animal welfare specialists are asking for the public’s help after a puppy was found wounded in southwest Oklahoma City.
Authorities say it all started when a resident heard a puppy crying in their yard and discovered the dog. Animal welfare workers responded to the home and realized that the puppy’s ears had been cut off at the scalp.
They rushed the puppy, who they have named Rocky, to the veterinarian for treatment.
Amazingly, Rocky is healthy and happy in a foster home. His hearing is intact and he is recovering.
Now, officials are trying to find Rocky’s owners and find out what caused his injuries.
If you have any information about Rocky, call Animal Welfare at (405) 297-3117.
