LOGAN COUNTY, Okla. - A wanted man gets away from lawmen for the fourth time.

Bob Moore Chopper 4 flew over the area where Logan County deputies searched for Jerry Lawson.

"As soon as I stopped, his car just flew past me,” said Enedina Rangel.

Rangel says she saw her life flash before her eyes as Lawson led deputies on high-speed a chase.

She said he almost hit her while running a red light.

"I immediately went into shock because I have my three girls here and I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I just saw how God moved His hands in our lives," she said. "When I came home, all the police, the sheriff and everything was here and I noticed that truck back there."

Lawson ditched a white SUV in Ron Dunton’s driveway and ran off into the woods, leaving his girlfriend, Latisha Young, in the passenger seat.

She too had outstanding warrants.

Inside the vehicle, detectives found meth, marijuana, loaded syringes, scales and 38 special ammunition bullets.

Their findings leaving them to believe Lawson could be armed.

"Luckily I keep my house locked and I have a dog in the back and one inside the house," said Dunton.

But Dunton still searched his three acres to make sure the suspect wasn't hiding out.

A nearby daycare center was on high alert.

"We went on lock down, I notified our parents of the situation that was happening, kept the children calm. They don't know anything that was going on. Basically we're just staying inside doing our normal routine.” said Director of Debbie Fisher Freckles N Grin's

Investigators have been looking for Lawson for several months.

They said this is the fourth time he's gotten away.

"Had several warrants outstanding for burglary and drug stuff and for assault and battery on police and from running from the police,” said Chief Deputy Rich Stephens.

Tips led deputies to a home on Wentz where Lawson was supposedly going to visit, however, he wasn't there.

Lawson is still on the loose facing a host of new charges.

If you know his whereabouts call Logan County deputies.
