OHP: Trooper injured, suspect dead in Coal County shootout

COAL COUNTY, Okla. — A murder suspect is dead and an Oklahoma State trooper injured after a shootout last night.

34-year-old Tyrel Vick was accused of killing his brother. When authorities located Tyrel, a pursuit began.

During the chase, troopers say Tyrel shot at them and they fired back.

That’s when the man crashed on Highway 31-B.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the troopers was injured by shattered glass.

We’re told that the troopers involved in the shooting have been put on administrative leave.
