OKC PD looking for men and woman to serve and protect

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City will soon be looking for a few good men and women to serve and protect.

The Oklahoma City Council has approved the hiring of 40 new officers.

According to the Fraternal Order of Police, right now there are only 986 police officers on the payroll.

The new hires will bring the force over the 1,000 mark.

City Councilors said adding more officers is a top priority in the budget this year.
