OKC police on the hunt for overnight hit and run driver

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are looking for a driver who they say slammed head-on into another vehicle – then fled the scene.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. this morning, near N.W. 36th and Meridian.

Police say the man was driving westbound on 36th street and collided with another car head-on.

Officers say the driver who caused the accident took off on foot.

Fortunately, the driver of the second car only had minor injuries.

Police have not released a description of the runaway driver.
