OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police were searching for suspects Sunday night who shot and killed a man in the 7500 block of Knight Lake Dr.

Police responded to the parking lot of the Putnam Green apartments near Wilshire and Lyrewood around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

They discovered 21-year-old man, Orlando Smith, had been shot.

Smith was transported to the hospital where he later died.

"Right now we're looking for suspects," OKC Police Lt. Don Holland said. "We don't have much to go on. One of the calls did say that the possible vehicle involved was a white Acura."

The crime scene unit processed the scene, looking for any evidence that would lead to a suspect or motive.

"We do have several witnesses that homicide will be interviewing throughout the evening, but we don't have a whole lot other than that," Lt. Holland said.

Nearby residents looked on and expressed shock and concern that this was happening in their neighborhood.

"Well that's just kind of disconcerting because I've got a wife and three kids and I'm at work all day and I would like to know that my family is safe in this area," Ryan Euer said.  "Now I'm faced with, do I move my family to another area or not?"

Police said there's a possibility they could discover even more victims.

"As of right now, we only have one victim that has shown up," Lt. Holland said. "We have some evidence to lead us to believe that there is possibly two victims but so far only one is all that we've found."

Police said Smith was shot in the parking lot, not inside an apartment.

They are not sure whether the he actually lived at the Putnam Green apartments.
