OKLAHOMA — in what is becoming old hat for professional road crews at lesat once or twice a year (or more), the crews responsible for salting and sanding roads, highways and streets around the Oklahoma City did a tremendous job on Christmas Day.

Although plow trucks were not out in full force in the metro OKC area, the southern part of the state, including Chandler and McAlester areas, saw Oklahoma National Guard troops activated due to the accumulations of snow.

The dusting of snow in the OKC area were taken care of, road-wise, mainly by salting to roads with the thousands of tons of salt the City of Oklahoma City has ready to go.

It’s a tough job these folks perform, but even on Christmas Day, keeping roads clear and driving routes accessible by motorists was done in superb fashion. Great job.
