Oklahoma City firefighters extinguish fire at southside apartment complex

OKLAHOMA CITY —

Oklahoma City firefighters worked quickly to extinguish a fire at a southside Oklahoma City apartment complex.

Around 10:59 a.m Saturday, crews responded to the Country Creek Apartments, 10300 S Western.

Oklahoma City fire District Chief Benny Fulkerson said light smoke visible from the roof of the apartments upon arrival.

The fire was associated with an air-conditioning unit and surrounding sheetrock.

One person was evaluated on scene for difficulty breathing due to a medical condition but was not transported, Fulkerson said.

Fire damage was limited to the apartment. There was water damage to the apartment below the fire.

The cost of the damages caused by the fire is  still unknown.
