Oklahoma City man arrested after allegedly severely beating dog

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man is accused of severely beating a dog.

Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, police were called to a disturbance at the Quail Lakes Apartments, near Penn and Memorial.

When officers arrived they found a dog badly beaten.

Franklin Maddox was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.

He is facing a cruelty to animals charge.

Officials say the dog is now with animal welfare.
