An Oklahoma City man is beaten and left for dead.
The savage attack took place two weeks ago, but so far, no arrests have been made.
The victim's family is now asking for the public's help.
Police began the investigation after a man found the victim lying in a fetal position, badly beaten near S.W. 20th and Mehl.
That victim remains unable to communicate, but his family hopes someone has information that leads to an arrest.
"He didn't deserve to be beaten or left there like trash in the street," the victim's sister, LaTanya Nicholas, said.
LaTanya's brother, Henry Nicholas, III continues to recover at OU Medical Center, but is still unable to talk about what happened.
"He will look at us and respond to simple questions, but as for him having all his cognitive abilities, he doesn't have that," said LaTanya.
According to the police report, the victim suffered brain bruising, spine fractures, numerous broken ribs, a severe cut to his head and a right cheek that appeared to have been stomped by a shoe.
LaTanya believes more than one person is responsible for the attack.
"The way he was beaten, it couldn't be one person that could've done that," said LaTanya.
"The victim is still in the hospital unable to communicate with investigators. It's really a mystery. We don't know who beat him or why he was beaten," said Oklahoma City police MSgt. Gary Knight.
An online search shows the victim did have a criminal history, but his sister says that doesn't explain the savage beating he received.
"He wasn't an angel, but at the end of the day we need to find out who did this and why," said LaTanya. "All we want is answers and a speedy recovery for my brother."
Police do not have any suspects or witnesses to the attack.
