OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police say a man is in custody after allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl he met on a messaging app.

Police say 32-year-old Michael Beam met the 13-year-old victim through a messaging app and engaged in sexual activity with her.

Officers asked for the public’s help finding Beam last month.

On Monday, authorities say they received a tip and learned that Beam was hiding out in an apartment complex in Clayton.

On Sunday, officers with the Clayton Police Department took Beam into custody.

“Detectives believe there could be more victims out there and would like to hear from anyone who may have been victimized by this suspect,” the Oklahoma City Police Department said on Facebook.
