OKLAHOMA CITY – Some travelers dealt with flight delays and cancellations Monday at Will Rogers World Airport due to dense fog.
"Everything looked fine. You know, I looked on the pre-flight check on my phone, and it said on time. So, so far so good,” said one traveler.
However, not everyone was that fortunate Monday at WRWA because of thick fog that covered the metro.
"I expected the plane to get here and be here last night, and it didn't obviously so now I'm stuck. And, I definitely need to get back today; this is the busiest time at home,” said another traveler.
It was a similar story for folks who set up camp all over the airport, like Don Davidson.
"I was here visiting my daughter and grandkids for the holidays and got stuck with the Atlanta outage and got a couple of cancellations,” Davidson told News 4.
The power outage at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport lasted for 11 hours, causing more than 1,000 cancellations.
Then, the fog in Oklahoma City added to the cancellation list for some travelers, like Davidson.
“I would like to get aggravated about it, but it’s kind of hard. It just is what it is, but I’d like to get home; I got lots of stuff to do,” Davidson said.
"I'm delayed until 6 p.m. I won't get back until 10:30. I actually had meetings I had all day today. Got to miss those, but there's always tomorrow,” said another travelers.
