OKLAHOMA CITY– Oklahoma City University’s athletic department has set a new record for the number of canned goods donated to Skyline Ministries.

Each year, the sports teams at OCU have a competition amongst themselves to see which team can bring in the most non-perishable foods.

It was reported on Dec. 12, 2014 that the athletic department came together to donate a total of 11,996 non-perishable items for those in need.

According to the Oklahoma City University Softball Facebook page, the OCU athletics annual food drive has collected 49,846 food items over the past eight years.
