OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City woman learns, firsthand, the dangers of online dating.

Police say the victim and two of her friends were robbed by strangers they had met from social media.

It happened outside an apartment complex near N.W. 122nd and Penn.

The three victims agreed to meet up with the man they met online, but as soon as the victims pulled up, the suspect and at least two other men robbed the women at gunpoint.

Signing into a website called Meetme.com, the victim agreed to meet the man in the apartment parking lot.

"As soon as he got in the car and closed the door, maybe five guys came up with guns and tasers," said the victim Nikkii Wagner.

Threatening Nikkii with some sort of stun gun, the suspect snatched Nikkii's purse.

With her two friends also in the car, the other suspects stood outside the car with guns.

"I was held at gunpoint. It was on my head," said Wagner. "I honestly just tried not to get shot. My life is more important than a purse."

Luckily, police were able to get a picture of the main suspect from his online profile.

Nikkii's friend also recognized a second suspect as a former classmate, though she couldn't remember his name.

"Yeah I told him I knew him and he asked 'What's my name?' and I said 'I don't know.'" said Alyssa Turner.

"I'm just glad I wasn't dead and no one had to call my mom and say your daughter is dead," said Wagner.

Nikkii and her friends say they are going to be a lot more careful about who they meet online.

As for police, they advise against meeting up with strangers online.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
