TULSA, Okla. –  Best friends and the only country couple on ‘The Voice’  this season took center stage during the battles Monday night.

Alaska Holloway and Madi Metcalf auditioned for the show and became members of fellow Oklahoman Blake Shelton’s team.

The duo sang Linda Ronstadt’s ‘When Will I Be Loved’ against Audra McLaughlin, making Shelton’s final decision extremely difficult.

Shelton ended up selecting McLaughlin, sending the duo home.

Holloway and Metcalf are from the Tulsa area.

Unfortunately, the girls were not stolen by Usher or Shakira, who both had steals available.

After the competition, Adam Levine said to Usher, “Those girls could have won this thing. You’re crazy.”
