OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma family is desperate to find their loved one's body after an Oklahoma City man allegedly admitted to murdering his fiancée.
Ellaina Pechacek’s mother couldn’t get ahold of her daughter in early June and started to worry.
Rebecca Warner lives in Kingfisher, but her 19-year-old daughter had moved to Oklahoma City to live with her fiancé.
Warner finally convinced Oklahoma City police to check Pechacek’s apartment and says all of her personal belongings were still there, including a doll that had been precious to her since childhood.
“We knew instantly that something was just dreadfully wrong,” said Warner. “We kept telling the police that something is way, way, way wrong because no matter what, she wouldn’t have left these items behind.”
Warner says her daughter’s fiancé had told them that they had gotten into an argument and that she simply left.
But Warner says she found out last Friday that Pechacek’s fiancé, Travis Beadle, had been arrested for first degree murder.
“They had locked him up in county and that he confessed to killing her and he wasn’t going to tell them where she is,” said Warner.
Pechacek’s family is now grappling with the news and so many unanswered questions.
“You never think something like this can happen to your child, especially somebody that’s so sweet,” said Warner.
Warner says her daughter literally did give the coat off her back to someone once and she describes her as hard working and artistic.
The last time Warner saw her daughter was on Mother’s Day when she gave her a hint of problems in the relationship.
“I guess he had by that time quit another job and she says I can’t do this all by myself and she was going to kick him out of the house,” said Warner.
Warner and her husband are hoping someone has information that will lead to finding her.
“I don’t know if you could say you can even really deal with it ‘til you can have some kind of closure and figure out what happened and why. You know none of it makes any sense at all,” said Warner.
They have an arrest, but they still don’t have their daughter.
Their main goal now is to bring her home.
Beadle is being held in the Oklahoma County jail without bond.
