OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahomans will soon be able to purchase lottery tickets from their local Walmart.

The Oklahoma Lottery is partnering with Walmart in an effort to increase funds for Oklahoma education programs through the sale of lottery tickets.

New electronic kiosks will be implemented into 32 Walmart Neighborhood Markets across the state.

The partnership is beginning on Sept. 16, but tickets won’t be for sale until Oct 15.

“We are excited about this new partnership with Walmart and about the additional selling locations that will now be available to our players,”  Lottery Executive Director, Rollo Redburn, said. “This partnership, along with Powerball changes in October, should help us meet our mission to provide additional funds for Oklahoma education programs.”
