CLAREMOORE, Okla. – An Oklahoma man is charged with jury tampering after allegedly trying to influence a juror in a recent murder trial.
According to KJRH, 22-year-old Christian Cargill is accused of approaching an alternate juror in the trial of Vance Wright, who was being tried for the first-degree murder of Kelsey Bray.
Before Wright was found guilty, Cargill allegedly approached the alternate juror and told him to vote not guilty.
Court documents indicate Cargill and Wright may have known each other from their time spent in jail together.
KJRH reports Cargill faces a year in prison and/or a $500 fine if he is found guilty.
