BYNG, Okla. – After three days, an Oklahoma man accused of killing a woman and setting her house on fire is in jail..

Charles Cooper, 26, was arrested Friday outside of Billings, Montana after a nationwide search, KXII reports.

Cooper is accused in the death of 55-year-old Cindy Allen.

Last week, firefighters were called to Allen’s home in Byng after neighbors reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the house.

Once inside, officials found Allen’s body.

Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian said that they noticed the fire had started in multiple areas of the home, which is when they called the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for help.

Christian believes Allen was killed and then someone set the house on fire to cover up the crime.

Cooper will be transported back to Pontotoc County where he faces charges for first degree murder, first degree burglary and first degree arson.
