EL RENO, Okla. – An Oklahoma man was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl.

On Friday, Oct. 21, the 15-year-old girl’s parents contacted the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office to say their daughter had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions.

When investigators spoke with the victim, she said that 26-year-old Francisco Espinoza forced himself on her on three separate occasions.

She said the sexual assaults occurred Friday, Oct. 14th and Saturday, Oct. 15th.

According to the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office, Espinoza was a trusted friend of the family who had been asked to stay in the home.  He was asked to watch the victim and other children in the home while the parents visited a sick relative who lived out-of-town.

“This is a classic example of a sexual assault on a child by someone who knows the victim, manipulates the relationship, and then carries out their sick fantasy scarring the life of the innocent child forever,” said Canadian County Undersheriff Chris West.

Investigators decided to contact Espinoza on social media pretending to be the victim.

During their conversation, officials say Espinoza told the girl not to worry about being pregnant “because he was careful.”

“By Espinoza’s own admissions to my investigators on social media he has confessed to the crimes alleged by the victim,” West said.

Espinoza was arrested in the El Reno Walmart parking lot and transported the Canadian County Jail where he was booked on two counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of sixteen and one count of second-degree rape.

His bond was set at two hundred twenty thousand dollars.
