GREER COUNTY, Okla. – An Oklahoma man was arrested for the murdering the woman he lived with.

On July 25, 2015, 51-year-old Carla Pursley was found unresponsive at the Greer County home she shared with 50-year-old Dusty Earl Grossman.

Pursley was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy showed Pursley was the victim of a homicide.

She reportedly died from asphyxiation.

Authorities say she also had numerous contusions on her abdomen, pelvis and left thigh.

Doctors also found ligature marks on her right wrist and both ankles.

On May 23, 2016, Grossman was arrested at the sheriff’s office in Mangum for Pursley’s murder.

Grossman told authorities Pursley’s heath had declined to the point where she needed constant care and her mental capacity had diminished.

He was booked into the Greer County Jail for first-degree murder.
