KIOWA COUNTY, Okla. – An Oklahoma man is dead after a tragic accident in Kiowa County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say 23-year-old Whitney Gonzales and her husband, 24-year-old Pete Gonzales, had a verbal altercation early Sunday morning when Pete started walking down SH 9.
That is when troopers say Whitney Gonzales got into her vehicle to look for her husband.
Around 4:07 a.m., Whitney allegedly struck and killed her husband with her car.
Authorities say they could smell an odor of alcohol coming from Whitney.
Officials are investigating.
