OKLAHOMA CITY – Three days after double-homicide suspect Michael Vance was killed in a shootout with Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers, the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office released its preliminary autopsy results.

Officials say Michael Dale Vance, Jr., was shot and killed by members of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Sunday evening, ending Vance’s violent rampage that began on October 23, 2016.

Vance was wanted on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder.

On Wednesday, the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Vance was killed due to a gunshot wound to the neck.
