OKLAHOMA CITY – Officers say a mother is facing serious charges after she allegedly was driving under the influence with a child in the car.

Police were called to the area of S. Pennsylvania Ave. and S.W. 70th St. after officers spotted a car weaving from the center line to the curb, nearly side-swiping another vehicle.

According to the arrest affidavit, the driver, 31-year-old Karrie Ann Davis, had extremely small pupils, slurred speech and appeared to be disoriented.

At the time, Davis’ 9-year-old daughter was in the backseat of the car.

Officers say Davis fell asleep shortly after being placed in the back of the patrol car.

Authorities say they called a relative to pick up the child and the car.

Officials say Davis is facing charges of child endangerment, driving under the influence of drugs, driving under the influence with a minor in the car and straddling lane lines.
