WAGONER, Okla. – Authorities say a Wagoner police officer shot and killed a man following a traffic stop late Monday.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a Wagoner County sheriff’s deputy had attempted to pull over 25-year-old Andrew Robert Henson on an outstanding burglary warrant before the shooting occurred.

Authorities say Henson tried to run the deputy off the road, then drove into the city of Wagoner where he reportedly rammed a Wagoner police vehicle twice before rolling his own vehicle.

The OSBI says a Wagoner police officer shot Henson after Henson got out of his vehicle and “made a threatening move” to the officer.

The officer who killed Henson is on paid administrative pending an investigation, and his name was not released.

Prosecutors will determine whether the fatal shooting was justified.
