ADAIR, Okla. – Strong thunderstorms made a special delivery to a post office in Oklahoma.

The storms we experienced here in the metro yesterday turned severe in the eastern part of our state.

A tree collapsed on the roof of the Adair post office in the eastern part of the state.

The video shows just some of the damage from the powerful, quick moving storm that drenched the ground, uprooting several trees in the area.

Nearby businesses also suffered roof damage from the heavy rains and winds.

Area residents got out to start picking up the pieces soon after the severe weather passed.

The good news, the weather forecast for the rest of the weekend is expected to be quiet.
