Oklahoma teen in critical condition following crash

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma teenager is in critical condition following a crash in McClain County.

Around 5:26 p.m. Tuesday, 16-year-old Caleb Freeman was merging onto I-35 from State Highway 9 when he crashed his vehicle.

According to the trooper’s report, the teen was trapped for 20 minutes before being freed by the Goldsby Fire Department using the Hurst Tool.

He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Caleb’s brother, a 14-year-old male passenger, was also injured in the crash.

Officials say he was rushed to the hospital in fair condition.

Caleb’s family is well-known in the Newcastle area.

His father is a local pastor.

He has been keeping friends and family updated on Caleb’s condition via Facebook.

So far, Caleb’s father says his son has undergone a very serious surgery on his brain due to a major brain injury sustained in the crash.

He remains hospitalized.

Family members are asking for prayers at this time.
